This mother’s story is one of thousands that demonstrate how Brain Balance marketing helps you tap into the market for discretionary spending by parents looking for solutions, hope and outcomes for children struggling to find answers.
Brain Balance parent Kellie H. had reached the end of her rope with her daughter Anna, who was diagnosed with severe anxiety in the third grade. “Her symptoms were horrible. It was instantaneous vomiting and diarrhea,” Kellie says. “It was awful. It was kind of a cyclical effect where she was so afraid to vomit in front of other people that she would end up vomiting. Then it becomes this huge separation issue with mom. She did not want to separate from me.”
By the time she was 10, Anna couldn’t even go to her best friend’s house. “She was losing her friends,” Kellie says. “She was becoming extremely depressed to the point where right before we started Brain Balance, and I may cry here, she was talking about suicide.”
They had tried everything — from therapy and exercise to essential oils and meditation. “It just wasn’t working. She was losing her grip on life.”
And then they found Brain Balance.
“By session 12, she had very little anxiety; that was workable. She could work through it. She is so proud of herself, and she’s constantly saying, ‘I love Brain Balance.’ She says, ‘They have helped me so much, Mom.’ She says ‘I can’t believe it, how much they have helped me.’”
The key, as a business owner, is making sure potential customers know about the solutions you offer. The integrated marketing plan we provide involves a lot of community outreach, in-person and online. Our target customer does a lot of research, so we try to meet the consumers where they are.
Digital marketing outreach
Our digital marketing employs multiple platforms — Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social channels — to get word to the public. We leverage a social media management platform and Customer Relationship Management software to effectively manage the various marketing channels and build relationships with customers who are ready to learn more.
We have a set of approved vendors for digital media who are well-versed in the brand, have access to all of the Brain Balance assets and have experience in what works to drive leads from keywords to content. The Brain Balance Marketing team monitors the performance of the approved vendors and handles any franchisee questions.
We also guide franchisees on best practices for grassroots marketing, including how to network effectively and how to use events to build relationships and educate customers.
Keys to successful marketing
The key to successful marketing with Brain Balance is going out and becoming a part of your community. You don’t need specialized training or a background in education or neurology. What you need in order to thrive is a commitment to community outreach and education, and pride in both your business and the difference you can make in other peoples’ lives.
We need passionate entrepreneurs who can follow our program and our franchise systems. Many franchisees are parents whose children found success.
We also have a number of chiropractors, occupational therapists, physical therapists and others who are drawn to the opportunity to help kids with this program. Regardless of background, our franchisees need to have business acumen. That can mean successful corporate careers, entrepreneurial experience, familiarity with P&Ls or marketing experience.
